Your Right to Data Deletion

At YatraConnect, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. We've made the process of deleting your account and associated data straightforward and transparent.

How to Delete Your Account

You have two options to delete your YatraConnect account:

Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

1. Open the YatraConnect app and log in to your account
2. Navigate to Settings → Delete Account
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your identity
4. Review the information about what will be deleted
5. Confirm your decision to delete your account

Option 2: Email Request

1. Send an email to support@yatraconnect.co.in from the email address registered with your account
2. Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line
3. In the email body, please provide your full name and username for verification
4. Your request will be reviewed within 7 business days
5. You'll receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following information will be permanently removed from our systems:

• Personal information (name, email address, phone number, gender, date of birth)
• Profile information and preferences
• Chat history and messages
• Certificate requests and history
• Group memberships and participation records
• Any content you've created or uploaded

Data Retention Policy

Once your account deletion is processed, we will not retain any of your personal data beyond the deletion date, except in the following circumstances:

• Where retention is required by applicable law (e.g., for tax purposes or fraud prevention)
• Where information has been anonymized and can no longer be associated with you
• Where data is part of aggregate analytics that doesn't identify individual users

Any data we are legally required to retain will be kept secure and isolated from active systems until it can be safely deleted in accordance with our legal obligations.

Processing Time

Account deletion requests are typically processed within 7 business days. During this time, your account may be deactivated while we complete the deletion process. Once your account is deleted, the action cannot be undone, and you will need to create a new account if you wish to use YatraConnect again.
